Power of positive thinking

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU THINK YOU CAN DO - THE POWER OF POSITIVE THOUGHT


When you first read the above sentence you may disagree and believe that it is not possible........but IT IS!

​If you can raise your thoughts to that of a more positive mind set, regardless of the situation you are wishing to change, you CAN change it.  Sometimes we just don't believe in ourselves enough to accept that it is possible, but IT IS. By changing your negative thoughts of "I can't" and convincing yourself of a dozen reasons as to why you can't change, whatever it is you wish to change, you will believe that change is not possible.


​When you build your self esteem and tell yourself that it IS possible, you find a dozen ways to make sure you can make it work.


​Visualisation is a very powerful way of raising your self belief and seeing the change you wish to effect. Take a few minutes each day to act "as if" the change is already in place.


​"Thoughts become things"


​When you continually see the bigger picture of what it is you want, those thoughts and pictures slowly but surely lead you to take action towards that goal. Once you start taking action towards that goal, your dreams can become reality.


​For example, if you wish to move house, then every day see yourself in that house with the people you want to share it with, if anybody. Act as if you are already in it and really truly believe you WILL get that house you want to make reality.
​
Sometimes, it can be hard to think positive when you have been stuck in a very negative situation in the past and it is hard to let go of the hurtful feelings. But think of those feelings as a lump of hot coal. When you hold onto them, the only person you are hurting is YOU. When you throw that lump of hot coal away you are no longer in pain. So, letting go of the past is key to thinking positive towards your future.


​How can you let go of negative thoughts & feelings about the past?


  • Be kind to yourself and BELIEVE you are worthy of true happiness
  • Talk to yourself like you would a good friend. You wouldn't constantly tell your friend she is useless, so don't do it to yourself.
  • ​Decide that you want to let it go - it won't go if you keep holding on unsure if you really want to or can let it go.
  • ​Write down all of your feelings as if you are speaking to the person, or situation, which hurt you. Expressing yourself is part of healing, allowing you to move forward.
  • ​Remind yourself that you can't change the past but you CAN control your future
  • Write down all the lessons you learnt from that situation
  • ​Look around you and realise who you have in your life that makes you happy
  • ​Realise that YOU can CHOOSE to let go of the past
  • Meditate regularly
  • Practice being mindful as much as you can
  • ​Choose to LIVE the rest of your life the way YOU choose

  Listen to these affirmations and repeat them to yourself as many times as you can remember throughout the day. Allow this short video to become part of your day, every day, and allow your brain to develop new pathways of thinking as you erode the old "I cant do it" and replace those beliefs with new a new belief system where you know and believe that you are STRONG, you are COURAGEOUS, you are BRAVE and many more affirmations which can help you change your life around.  Spend a few minutes losing yourself in the short video below, with your eyes open or closed, and visualise what it is you want in life. Allow ONLY positive thoughts to enter your mind. If a negative thought creeps in - tell yourself that this is not the time for it, this is your future reality that you are creating and you have no room or time for any more negative things in your life. You are done with negative in your life and you DESERVE ONLY GOOD. This is your time to visualise life as you want it to be. Really see it and when you can see it really feel as if you are there. Allow the music to take you to where YOU want to go knowing you CAN have the life you deserve.
